Between 1928 and 1959, Gold Dredge played a key role in the Tanana Valley economy. Aurora Viewing

Join us for a late evening to early morning tour (10pm-3am) and prime viewing at a rustic lodge located outside Fairbanks away from the city lights – wide open areas ensure a perfect view at Alaska’s fall and winter sky. The Aurora Borealis/Northern Lights is a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed. The best time to see the Northern Lights in Alaska is between August and September when the sun sets earlier, yielding darker skies that are ideal for witnessing the aerial light show.
