IMPORTANT TRAVEL INFORMATION (7-NIGHT CRUISE BOOKINGS)

The 7-night cruise-only vacation does not include any pre-cruise or post cruise components. While the sailing is all-inclusive, there are several steps you must take as an independent traveler to Baltra, Galapagos. 

 The 10-night, 11-night and 16-night packages include all the logistics listed below. If you have a current 7-night booking and would like to upgrade to a package that includes all the steps outlined below, and more, please contact your travel agent or call Celebrity Cruises at 1-888-751-9303.

 

Flight Reminders & Important Information:

  • Arrive in mainland Ecuador with ample time to connect to Baltra, Galapagos for embarkation. In most instances, guests will need to arrive in Ecuador at least one day prior to their flight to Baltra, Galapagos.
  • All flights to the Galapagos Islands must undergo a mandatory luggage inspection prior to check-in at the airport, directly with the airline.
  • Guests must arrive in the Baltra Airport prior to 12:00pm Galapagos time on embarkation day, where they will be met by Celebrity Cruises Guides.
  • Embarkation will begin once package guests arrive and clear migration in Galapagos airport (approximately 12:00pm, local time).
  • Guides will escort the guests to their bus and then onto a small pier where Celebrity tenders will transport them to the ship and begin the embarkation process.
  • Guests must obtain a Galapagos National Park entrance card ($200 per person) at the National Park Desk at the outbound airport. The fees will be reimbursed onboard the ship upon embarkation.
  • Guest must obtain a Traffic Control Card ($20 per person) at the airport prior to departure. The fees will be reimbursed onboard the ship upon embarkation. Guests can pre-register for their Traffic Control Card online, but need to go the counter at the airport, present passport and return flight in order to obtain the card: https://www.gobiernogalapagos.gob.ec/para-ingresar-a-la-provincia-de-galapagos/.
  • For departure flights, anything departing the Galapagos after 10:00 am local time is recommended.
  • Flights by Celebrity is not available for 7-night cruise-only vacations.

 

Transfers:

  • The only ground transfers included are between the Baltra airport and the embarkation/disembarkation pier. NO other transfers are included.
  • There is no traditional port/embarkation pier in Baltra. Ships do not come pier-side. All transportation from land to ship is done via tenders, including embarkation and disembarkation.

 

Hotels:

  • Guests are responsible for their own hotel accommodations pre and post cruise.
